On Saturday, August 14, Gloria Dei volunteers joined with Hope Active and a number of other local churches to provide over 500 children throughout CCISD with school supplies and a backpack. Some received a new pair of shoes and a few families received a gift card to cover school expenses. This ensured that kids in our community had the supplies they needed to start the school year strong!

This was also a great event that allowed a diverse group of people to serve together. There were jobs for young and old, and places for people to serve and connect even if they came by themselves. A big thank you to Hope Active and all of our volunteers for serving!
