Women's Discipleship Adventure Lost Maples/Garner State Park

Women

Women’s Discipleship Adventures will be taking to the Texas foothills for a long weekend of fellowship, friendship, and hiking. We would love to have you join us February 18 – 21, 2022 on our latest adventure where we’ll be staying in a cabin bedecked with cypress wood, stargazing from our porch alongside the Frio River, cooking up s’mores around a campfire, and hiking beautiful terrain.

Join us for three nights and a great weekend of building up friendships, engaging in conversation as we work through Bible studies led by different members of our group, and seeing God’s beautiful creation up close and personal.

We’ll leave mid-morning on Friday the 18th and spend Saturday hiking Garner State Park. We will hike approximately 7 miles around Crystal Cave, gaze up at Old Baldy, and enjoy a day of fellowship and good conversation at Garner State Park.

We’ll spend Sunday morning in devotions and then head over Lost Maples State Park where we will hike about 6-7 miles. While there are some challenging sections, we’ll take our time and focus on great discussions and encourage each other through hilly terrain populated with bigtooth maple, bald cypress, and sycamore trees.

Monday morning we’ll have breakfast, complete our final devotions, clean up the cabin, and head back to Houston where we’ll arrive in the mid-afternoon.

The $200 cost includes lodging, food, park entry fees, a Women’s Discipleship Adventures shirt, and devotional materials. Our leader will help coordinate carpooling to Leakey, and each woman will be asked to contribute to the cost of gas for her group’s driver.
