CURRENT SERMON SERIES: SAMSON
Samson was an incredibly strong character in the Bible. Serving as a Judge in Israel before they had a king to rule over them, Samson was a symbol of power and strength. However, his private life showed a great deal of weakness and failure. Too often, we too put on a façade of power and strength to hide what we know to be our weakness and failure. It is when we turn to our Savior Jesus Christ, seek to follow His commands, and let His mercy restore and renew us that we are able to do more than we could imagine! The story of Samson shows how God works good for His people, even through the failures and weakness of men.

WORSHIP SERVICESWe offer 4 different service styles every Sunday at Gloria Dei, including an afternoon service in Spanish. Each service is Christ centered, Bible-based and is relevant and applicable to daily living.
In our liturgical service, we sing hymns, led by organ and cantor, as well as participate in responsive readings, known as the "liturgy." Additional elements of this service include confession and absolution, scripture readings, gospel readings, communion, special music, as well as prayer and the Lord's prayer.
Our traditional service includes hymn singing, led by organ, piano and choir. Throughout the year, we also feature a bell choir, children's choir, youth choir, brass quintet, orchestra and solo instrumentalists. The adult choir shares a special anthem each week. Additional elements of this service include confession and absolution, scripture readings, gospel readings, communion, as well as prayer and the Lord's prayer.
Music at the contemporary service is led by the Gloria Dei Worship Band. They lead the congregation in spirited, uplifting songs, ranging from hymns to contemporary Christian worship choruses. Additional elements of this service include confession and forgiveness, scripture readings, gospel readings, communion, as well as prayer and the Lord's prayer.

In the event your child needs attention during the service, the nursery staff will page you.
Communion is generally served on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month. Communion is also served for special holidays like Easter. Our Statement on Holy Communion
